Dhanush strikes back with legal case against Nayanthara

on Nov 27, 2024

Dhanush has been silent ever since Nayanthara released an open letter accusing him as a "sadist" for asking Rs.10 crores for using 3 seconds of clips in her Netflix documentary, "Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale". She called him a nepo-kid and also a person with no regards to friendship. She further called him fake.

Nayanthara and her husband director Vignesh Shivn have been provoking him for not letting them use Nannum Rowdy Dhaan movie clips in their wedding documentary. Dhanush has now replied with a civil case against them. He filed a civil petition in Madras Court against them for violating copyright laws and using Naanum Rowdy Dhaan clips.

The violation of copyright laws comes under civil offence and hence, the actor has decided to move to civil court. The actor is serious about them paying him compensation for using Naanum Rowdy Dhaan clips. The actor produced the movie 8 years ago and Vignesh fell in love with Nayanthara on the sets of the film.

Hence, the couple wanted to use the clips to discuss about the starting stages of their relationship along with songs written by Vignesh, himself. But Dhanush lost Rs.10 crores while producing the film due to over budget and hence, he is serious about compensation.
