Despite Raashii Khanna's presence The Sabarmati Report fails to promote

The Sabarmati Report missed out on promoting the film in a big way in South India. With a popular actress like Raashii Khanna amongst the cast, they could not really rise curiosity about the film in Southern part of India. Raashii Khanna has a good following in Telugu States and considerably good following in Tamil Nadu, too.
Still, The Sabarmati Report team never travelled to cities in South India to promote their film. Even the actress herself, did not really heavily promote compared to her other films. The team left all the onus on leading actor Vikrant Massey to promote the film and that did not work out as much as they thought.
Even the reviews have not been that great for the movie post release. The kind of magic happened with The Kerala Story and The Kashmir Files could not be repeated by a similar kind of a film, like The Sabarmati Report based on Gujarat Riots. Like previous Vikranth Massy film, 12th Fail, the movie needs extraordinary word of mouth and hold at box office to perform.
