Demands to cancel Padma Shri for Ekta Kapoor rock internet

Ekta Kapoor established herself as the most successful media entrepreneur with Balaji Telefilms, Balaji Motion Pictures and OTT platform ALTT or ALT Balaji. The media baroness has been facing controversies regarding the adult content in the web-series produced by her for ALTT.

Mumbai Police recently registered case under POSCO act for showing sexual scenes involving minor girls. She and her mother Shobha are facing the charges under the act being proprietresses of the OTT platform. Ekta previously stated that people should grow up to watch adult content, as well, previously.

Now, several netizens started demanding for dissolving her Padma Shri and there are asking for ban on ALTT as well. Some are calling her Hinduphobic and stating that her Gandi Baat series has been disrespecting Hindu Gods by showcasing illicit affairs between characters with God names.

They are claiming that Bollywood has made it a fashion to showcase their Hinduphobia in films, web-series and serials. Their demands are trending on X, Instagram and all over Internet. Let's see if President will decide to call back her Padma Shri or if Government will ban ALTT heeding to these demands.
