Sukumar’s maiden production Kumari 21F was a super hit. Darshakudu is second production from him through which he introduces his friend Hari Prasad as director. Let’s see whether the film can do any wonders like Sukumar’s first production:

Story:
Mahesh (Ashok) who promises his father to become a director makes efforts to fulfil his father’s wish. He prepares a story, but producer asks him to change romantic track. Mahesh decides to fall in love with a girl to get originality in his film’s love track. He meets Namrata (Eesha) in train accidentally and they become good friends. When Namrata comes to propose her love to Mahesh, she gets to know that he loved her only for romantic track in his film. She hits him and warns not to meet her again. What will Mahesh do now? Whether he succeeds to impress the producer or not? What are the problems he faces in the course? Will Namrata ever comeback for him?

Positives:
1. Lead Actors Performances
2. Music
3. Romantic Track
4. Interval Episode

Negatives:
1. Lack Of Entertainment
2. No Commercial Aspects
3. Sluggish Narration

Analysis:
Darshakudu is about an aspiring director who has two big challenges in life. While one is to convince his producer and make film, the other is winning his love. Director Hari Prasad opted to a different story and tried to convince audiences with his writing. Although romantic track between the lead pair was convincing, the director failed to entertain audiences to the fullest. In fact, he has scope to evoke some laughs. But, he didn’t utilize. Another biggest minus is movie runs mostly around the lead pair. While it is first film as an actor for Ashok, actress Eesha is yet to come into big league of heroines. The sequences of Ashok canning his film are funny. Though second half was bit boring, movie becomes interesting in last half an hour.

Artists Performances:

Ashok is a newcomer. Nonetheless, he gave wonderful performance. Though he doesn’t have heroic looks, he could convince with his acting abilities. He was equally good in romantic as well as emotional sequences. Actress Eesha looked pretty. And she too gave nice performance. Comedian Sudhakar provided some laughs. Pujita Ponnada was cool and Noel hardly got anything to perform. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:
Director Hari Prasad has a good vision. He penned a different story. He must be appreciated for writing pleasing romantic track. Although the sequences weren’t new, we still feel them like fresh track. However, Hari Prasad should have included some hilarious sequences to make the film more gripping and entertaining. Music director Sai Kartheek has provided melodious tunes and background score was also delightful. Cinematography by Praveen Anumolu was colorful. Production values of Sukumar writings was above par.

Verdict:
Darshakudu is an okay film. If you wanna try a new film this weekend, Darshakudu is better option.
