Telugu film "Chandamama Kathalu", directed by Praveen Sattaru which depicts eight sub-stories has secured the National Award for Best Telugu film. The film, which was released last year shows a struggling writer, an aged couple, a greedy Muslim girl, a dejected model, a municipal worker, a beggar and others. The way in which these stories of the film converges into a single theme is considered superb. Lakshmi Manchu, Aamani, Naresh, Krishnudu, Abhijeet, Chaitanya Krishna, Naga Shourya, Vennela Kishore, Amitha Rao and Richa Panai were seen in lead roles. Manchu Lakshmi expressed her happiness saying they knew how tough it was to release the film as the producer lacked finances then but today it has become a sensation.
