Bigg Boss fame Priyanka disrespects Tirumala Sanctity

on Nov 26, 2024

Bigg Boss fame and popular Telugu serial actress Priyanka Jain has come under big scanner due to her prank video and reels kind of comic video vlog while climbing Tirumala steps. She and Shivakumar run a YouTube channel, "Never Ending Tales", and they posted a video 8 months ago, vlogging their experience while climbing Tirumala.

In the video, Shivakumar trying to frighten Priyanka, who was hoping for a Cheetah sighting on the way up, points out at a shadowy figure near 7th milestone. Looking at that figure, Priyanka ran shouting Cheetah and Shivakumar followed her. Later, they both revealed that they did not watch Cheetah but pulled a prank.

Also, they kept talking about how frightened she was and how comic their entire act was. In the video, for effect, they used Cheetah sounds, scary sounds and then they even added two eyes in the post. It looks like they wanted to showcase their  "extra" creativity in scaring people watching the video.

Well, Tirumala is a place of highest Sanctity for devotees and trying to pull pranks and making reels, comic videos with commentary is never encouraged as it violates sanctity. Most people try to concentrate on their devotion towards Lord Venkateswara while climbing up the steps and they think the physical stress will be taken care of the devotion and Lord.

The video has gone to the notice of TTD officials and one of them commented that they won't take this matter lightly. He stated that Tirumala and Tirupathi needs to be respected and their sanctity needs to be protected. He condemned their act of making fun, pulling pranks and creating reels. He stated that they have strict prohibitons against such acts.

Earlier, TTD punish such naughty people - students hailing from Tamil Nadu. But few celebrities like Nayanthara who conducted photoshoot in front of the Temple, have been left with a warning. We have to wait and see what action will be taken on Priyanka and Shivakumar.

Devotees who are hurt by such videos are pleading people to give respect to their sentiments and carry out such comical acts elsewhere but not in Tirumala. We have to agree with them, too. At least such acts should not be showcased on video for promotion and attention.
