Story:
A software employee Dinesh (Vijay Antony) is a backbone for a company he works at. His life takes new turn after he marries an orphan Aishwarya (Arundhathi Nair). He behaves abnormal and tries to kill himself. Dinesh then approaches a psychiatrist who tries to deal with the case. The doctor discovers that, Dinesh who was Sharma in his past life is in search of the latter and his wife named Jayalakshmi.

To chase the puzzle, Dinesh moves to Sharma’s village. Dinesh gets shocked to see his wife Aishwarya’s photo alongside Sharma. Was Dinesh in hallucination or suffering from some other psychological disorder? Or else Dinesh really has haunting past with Jayalakshmi? Who is Jayalakshmi? What’s Dinesh’s connection with Jayalakshmi? To know answer for all these questions, you need to watch the film in theater.

Analysis :

Positives:
1. Intriguing Plot
2. Enchanting BGM
3. Lead Actors Performance

Negatives:
1. Last 30 Minutes
2. Lack Of Entertainment
3. Logics Missing

Artists Performances:
Vijay Antony is already a proved actor and he gave next level performance in Bethaludu. He was incredible in both the roles of Dinesh and Sharma. He was outstanding in few key sequences, especially in hospital scene where he tries to kill his wife. Arundathi Nair is other big advantage of the film. The voluptuous actress gave tough fight to Vijay Antony. She was adorable in flashback episodes. Charuhasan, Meera Krishnan and Raja Krishnamoorthy played their roles efficiently.

Technical Aspect:
Vijay Antony is experimenting with different subjects and Bethaludu is another experiment from him. Firstly, director Pradeep Krishnamoorthy lauded for picking an interesting line story for his directorial debut movie and for handling the subject proficiently until last 30 minutes.

However, Pradeep unnecessarily introduced new characters in last episodes and spoiled flow of the film utterly. The interest has been demolished with the director portraying a new subject in the end.

Good thing is Pradeep chose veracious actors for each and every character. Vijay Antony’s work on background score worth a special mention. He carried the tempo from start to end with entrancing re-recording work. Songs were okay. Cinematography by Pradeep Kalipurayath is good. Production values are decent.

Verdict:
First half of the movie was racy with engaging narration and even start of second half was good. Nonetheless, big damage was occurred with revelation of an unexciting subject.

TeluguOne Perspective :

Last half an hour is crucial for any film and Bethaludu appeared an ordinary film in last episodes for about 30 minutes or so.
