MAA Doles Out 30 Crores For Baahubali

Finally the clouds over the satellite rights of Baahubali are cleared. All these days it is believed that ETV is buying out the satellite rights of the magnum opus as Ramoji Rao acted as financier for the film. But it seems like ETV is not interested to shed such huge amounts quoted by Baahubali’s original makers.
Earlier buzz stated that ETV offered 10-12 crores for the satellite rights of “Baahubali: The Beginning” but the deal hasn’t got closed. Finally the deal is okayed by MAA TV and the double treat is that they have grabbed rights of both Part I and Part II for 30 crores. That means, each part has fetched 15 crores. For a film like Baahubali that has huge start cast and Rajamouli at the helm, no doubt this is much delayed deal, but a good one.
