on Oct 16, 2016

Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, is slated to hit the theatres on October 28. It also has Pakistan actor Fawad Khan in a crucial role and owing to this, recently the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) announced that they would not screen movies starring Pakistani artistes in the four states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa, putting the movie's release in trouble. Expressing his outrage filmmaker Anurag Kashyap posted a tweet where he slammed the government for banning movies. He stated, "The World must learn from us.. We solve all our problems by blaming it on movies and banning it.. #ADHM . With you on this @karanjohar". Going one step further, Kashyap also questioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to why he hasn't apologised for meeting the Pakistani Prime Minister the same time when Karan was shooting for 'ADHM.'
