Ante Sundaraniki Review: Wholesome entertainer becomes tiring after some point
on Jun 10, 2022
"Ante Sundaraniki," a family entertainer directed by Vivek Athreya and featuring Natural star Nani and Malayalam beauty Nazriya Fahadh. Let's get into the review and see how this film fared in the face of high expectations.
Story:
Sundar Prasad (Nani) comes from a typical Brahmin family and is the sole heir. The Sundar family tortures him with their religious beliefs and practises. Sundar goal is to travel America one day. However, the Sundar family denies that there are many obstacles to his birth.
Meanwhile, he falls in love with photographer Leela Thomas (Nazriya), but problems arise because Sundar comes from a Hindu family and Leela comes from a Christian family, and the Sundar family does not accept Leela as their daughter-in-law, just as Leela's family does not accept Sundar as a son-in-law or in any other way. Sundar devises a strategy to convince the families. But what exactly is the plan? What did Sundar do to convince her of his feelings? To understand that, you must view a movie on the big screen.
Plus points:
Anything from comedy to action Nani's acting abilities are impressive. Everyone saw him as a Natural star because of his flawless line delivery and amazing comic timing. Sundar Prasad was played by Nani in this film. He did the part credit by portraying a conventional Brahmin youngster.
Despite the fact that this was Nazriya's debut Telugu film, she performed admirably as Leela Thomas. She also gives voice to her adorable expressions and the Leela character. Naresh performed admirably as Nani's father, and Srikanth Iyengar, Rohini, and others also contributed.
Vivek Athreya, the director, handled the touchy subject quite well without jeopardising it. We saw a lot of movies about inter-caste marriages that were all taken seriously. However, Sundar has dealt those issues comically.
Minus points:
Despite the comedy in the first half, the crowd became tired with the prolonging of few scenes here and there. The intermission appeared to be similar at the time, but the audience did not completely comprehend the story.
Although the second half looked to be the same in terms of emotions, the conclusion could have been better structured. Also, the film must be trimmed without stretching out unnecessary scenes, especially with an emphasis on length. It would have been more appropriate for the message if the comedy had included some romantic scenes between the hero and heroine.
Technical Department:
In terms of technical aspects, director Vivek Athreya's works consistently portray classic Telugu essence, which is magnificent. It is difficult to write with emphasis on all of the characters. Vivek, on the other hand, did not give up.
Niketh Bommi's cinematography is excellent. It contains two distinct visuals. Sundar World, Leela World, and Vivek Sagar delivered wonderful music. The production values are likewise high.
Verdict:
Overall, it appears like Ante Sundaraniki added a bit of comedy to the message including traditions and commitments. The film sure gives some laughs but also gives some tiring scenes. Being a bit longer, the chemistry between the hero and the heroine aside, the film is sure to appeal to audiences other than the mass audience.
