on Jan 29, 2025

Anchor Jhansi, who is working as voice of women in TFI against harassment and exploitation, shared an important update about Choreographer Jani Basha's harassment case. Shrasti Varma, assistant choreographer, complained against Jani stating that she got sexually and mentally harassed by him for 4 years.

Now, Jhansi stated that Jani who went to district court against Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce orders banning him and initiated probe against him on recruiting a minor to work with him. Shrasti shared that she worked with him for 4 years and he used to take advantage of her sexually. Now, court dismissed his application.

Anchor Jhansi sharing the update, she wrote, "Film chamber of commerce wins case against Choreographer Jani Basha, who had challenged the chambers' orders in the district court. The Court has dismissed his interim application today. This is a significant judgment, proving that women's safety at the workplace is a priority and institutions enforcing POSH guidelines have to be supported. Thanks to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce in ensuring that federation took a strict stand and fight it out legally."

Well, as she stated this is a significant update in this case. We have to wait and see, how this case takes shape and whom will be proven as guilty. For now, though, Anchor Jhansi has promised to everyone that Chamber won't be taking this case lightly.
