On the evening of January 19, 2026, a security vehicle accompanying actor Akshay Kumar was involved in a road accident in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The incident occurred as the actor and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, were returning home from the airport following a trip abroad.
The accident took place near Mukteshwar Road when a speeding Mercedes collided with an autorickshaw. The impact forced the three-wheeler into the security vehicle, an Innova, which was trailing the actor’s primary SUV. The force of the collision caused the escort vehicle to overturn, resulting in significant damage to both the security car and the autorickshaw.
While Akshay Kumar’s vehicle was not directly hit, the actor reportedly stepped out to assist in the rescue of the injured parties. The autorickshaw driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were provided with medical attention. Both Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna remained unhurt during the event.
The Juhu police reached the site shortly after the collision to manage traffic and begin an investigation. A case has been registered against the driver of the Mercedes for rash and negligent driving.
