"Akhil" is becoming the toughest debut ever made by a star kid with trade plunging in downward direction. After its long first weekend from wednesday to Sunday, the film managed to collect 16.3 crores from box office across the globe.
Opening Day figures are highly praised by the makers as the film managed to storm into 10 crores club on Day One itself. As everyone is waiting to know the figures amassed on next day, the makers went into oblivion. Finally it is revealed that collections took a strong blow on the face with each passing day due to the negative talk generated. In next 4 days, the film made 6.3 crores more, making the collections go to 16.3 crores "share" from first weekend.
In this pace, Akhil will collect something around 20 crores 'share' leaving the distributors with nearly 25 crores loss. That means, there is 60% loss.
