Akhil Akkineni trying a Bangarraju kind rural drama

on Mar 18, 2025

Akhil Akkineni has faced set back after set back in his career since the debut with Akhil. The young actor wanted to become an action hero from the debut movie itself and that did not help his case. With debut biggie disappointing big time, Nagarjuna, his father, took the onus and produced Hello with him.

The Vikram Kumar directorial had a soulful love story but failed to mix slick action into the narrative. Akhil tried his luck with Mr. Majnu and it did not become a hit. Later, he took a different route with Most Eligible Bachelor and it became a hit at the box office.

He decided to go for another big action entertainer in Surender Reddy's direction, Agent and it became even bigger disaster than Akhil. Now, the young actor took a gap and his father Nagarjuna, once again worked on his next film's script to see that it doesn't deviate from the actual idea, it seems.

According to the sources, Nandu will be directing the film and it is a rural action drama like President Gari Pellam, it seems. Akhil is working on his diction and appearance to look the part, it seems. Krithi Shetty is said to be in contention for the leading lady role and the rural action drama will be completed in one long schedule, it seems.

As Soggade Chinni Nayana, Bangarraju worked at the box office during Sankranti festival, even this one is being targeted for the big festival release it seems. For now, the script works and pre-production works are going on simultaneously, to give Akhil, the big break, he desperately needs, it seems.
