YSR Congress party may believe that being the main opposition party, its duty is to oppose any decision taken by the ruling TDP government, so is it opposing the CM Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to allow the retail market giants Reliance, Wal-Mart, ITC into AP market.
Vasireddy Padma, the official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party speaking to media at party office flayed Chandrababu Naidu for allowing the retail giants into the AP market. She also levied serious allegations against him of taking thousands of crores of rupees bribes from them. She asked why he has changed his mind when TDP MPs were issued a whip to vote against the FDI bill in the parliament during UPA regime. She reminds that her party opposed the bill, but TDP MPs have abstained during voting time. She demands an explanation from the CM about what makes him change his stand on this issue.
If, Chandrababu Naidu doesn’t allow the retail giants enter into the AP market then also YSRCP may blame him for behaving like a monarch. It should note that no developing country or state will ever think to control the markets instead they will be encouraged to spread and thus generate revenue for the governments. If markets are flourishing with good business, it is generally considered as a good sign of healthy condition of the states. Since, Chandrababu Naidu is dreaming for a rapid development of the state, he is letting the markets also spread proportionately.
And opposing the FDI bill is to be seen as purely a political decision. The FDI bill was introduced by the rival Congress party and so TDP opposed it. However, Vasireddy reminds that the two MPs of TDP have abstained from the FDI Bill voting. That itself is indicating about TDP’s stand on it. Unfortunately, YSRCP is trying to politicize each and every issue instead of giving constructive suggestions to the state government.
YSRCP alleges that Chandrababu Naidu chooses Vijayawada for building the capital city merely because he wants to benefit his party leaders. Now, Vasireddy Padma alleges that CM Chandrababu Naidu is allowing the retail giants into the state only because he received thousands of crores bribes from them. Since, she is making very severe allegations against a CM she has to show the evidences for it, before asking his explanation.
