Rahman Stopped Mani Ratnam, Mahesh Movie

It is evident that Mahesh Babu and Mani Ratnam movie is shelved. This bilingual movie, enacted by Vijay and Arya in Tamil, is based on King Ponniyin Selvan backdrop of the Chola dynasty. Sources say AR Rahman has stopped Mani Ratnam from going ahead. But why?

Well, inside sources say that Mani Ratnam was advised by Oscar Award winner AR.Rahman to shelve this project. It seems that AR Rahman told Mani Ratnam that many movies made on a historical backdrop have bite the dust at the box office in different languages. And that's not all, as Rahman further advised Mani Ratnam to develop a romantic script like 'Sakhi', which for he already has 3 tunes ready available. So what's the aftermath? Upon hearing all the 'Rahman Geethopadesam', Mani Ratnam decided to shelve the movie. So is Mani Ratnam preparing a romantic script? May be! May be not!
