Deepika to do big budget South film??

Deepika Padukone who is gearing up for another royal avatar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, might showcase her majestic looks for a Tamil period film as well. This Tamilian big budget film which is touted to be India’s most expensive film yet. Sunder C has roped in AR Rahman for the music of the film.

When he was asked about casting the leads, he said, “Very big and fantastic star cast”.Sundar C’s epic film centred on Sangamithra might see Deepika playing the eldest daughter of King Ashoka. This year she had no releases as she remained invested in her Hollywood debut film, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, in which she will share screen space with Vin Diesel.

The film is expected to hit the screens in January. Baahubali and Eega fame Kamalakannan will supervise the film’s special effects. The movie is reportedly being made on a whopping budget of Rs 350 crores. Apparently it’s going to cross even Baahubali and Enthiran’s budgets.
