Basanthi featuring Brahmi's son Gautham and a newbie has seen its audio launch recently and has been directed by Chaitanya Danthuluri of Banam fame. Looking at the film's promos, film buffs are feeling whether the film is a remake or takes inspiration from Hindi film Anwar released in 2007. The film featured Nauheed Cyrusi and Siddhartha Koirala, the brother of actress Manisha Koirala. The film became famous for its song Maula Mere..Maula Mere.
