Legendary Actor Dharmendra Passes Away

Dharmendra, one of the legends of Indian Cinema, passed away at his residence in Mumbai. The actor was 89 years old and had been suffering with respiratory issues. He had been reported to have passed away falsely before. But now, reports state that an ambulance has been spotted at his residence and his family members are reaching crematorium. 


The actor was known as He-Man of Hindi Cinema and lived a full life with a career spanning over six decades. He debuted in films, way back in 1960 and continued acting till 2025. His final film, Ikkis is set to release on 25th December. 


Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini. He had six children - Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, with daughters Ajeeta, Vijeta, Esha and Ahana. He worked as Member of Lok Sabha and been awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2012. 


Dharmendra delivered 8 consecutive hits in 1973 and 9 consecutive hits in 1987, setting unprecedented records at the box office. He had been part of films like Sholay, Yaadon ki Baarat, Burning Train and many more memorable films. His demise would be regarded as the biggest loss to Indian Cinema.
