SRK fans wonder if King will overcome Christmas curse

Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood Badshah, has taken a five year hiatus after 2018 Zero, which released for Christmas. The movie became the biggest ever disaster for SRK and he came back with back to back Rs.1000 crore grossers with Pathaan and Jawan in 2023. He again released Dunki for Christmas 2023.
Even though directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie failed to really deliver at the box office and content-wise as well the movie failed to live upto expectations. But it ended up being an average to hit grosser with Rs.450 crores worldwide gross globally. He is not leaving Christmas holiday weekend in 2026, either.
The actor has locked his upcoming film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand, for 24th December 2026 release. He again took 3 year hiatus between his releases which would guarantee that he did work on the film to maximise its potential butfans are worried about Christmas time release as even Dilwale in 2015 underperformed.
Suhana Khan is said to be playing a prominent role with Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Bachchan playing antagonist roles. His lucky mascot Deepika Padukone is also a pivotal part of the cast in the film. Several Reports claim that Rani Mukherji is set to reunite with SRK on big screen after almost two decades.
It would be interesting to see how SRK will pull off the salt-and-pepper look on big screens in this action thriller. And will he overcome the Christmas curse or not, will be a 1000-crore question for sure. Let's wait and watch.
