Arijit Singh to debut as a director producer

Bollywood Singer Arijit Singh has announced that he is quitting playback singing. He stated that he is "calling it off" and he won't be taking any new playback singing assignments further. While this came as a surprise, the reports stated that the singer is gearing up to debut as director and producer.

His wife, Koel Singh, will also produce the film with him while he will be directing it. Nawazuddin Siddique will be playing an extended cameo while his daughter Shaara and Arijit's son are playing leading roles. The movie will explore children's psychology in a light-hearted tone.

Arijit will be scoring music and further, he wants to continue as a director and producer, say reports. Currently, the production is going on at a fast pace but the details about schedules and project will officially be announced very soon, suggest reports.
