Hyderabad and other Indian cities are set to get a Paris model of transport system. France experts recommended the Paris model transport system to solve the traffic congestion. According to them single mode ticketing for all transport systems would streamline traffic in the city, they pointed out.

"Commuters can travel in metro trains, buses and trams with a single ticket in Paris and can reach the destinations very fast," said Mr. Desclos. "We will be happy to help improve the transport system here," he added. The Paris system is based on three main modes of transport, the metro, the Reseau Express Regional commuter railway and buses. All these three modes of transport use the same ticketing system.

Top officials of the French government as well as representatives of various transport companies made these suggestions after experiencing first-hand the traffic nightmare in the city. French companies such as SNCF international and Alstom Transport are keen on helping streamline the Indian transport system.
