Speaker against Botsa’s announcement?

Speaker Nadendla Manohar in a chit chat with media on yesterday has made it clear that he is not going to approve the resignation letters submitted by the 3 decedent MLAs- Alla Nani, Sujaya Krishna Ranga rao and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.

While, the first two have openly stated that they are no more interested to continue in Congress and takes plunge into YSR Congress party, Ramachandra Reddy just quits his post but continuing in the party. However, all the three have submitted their resignation letters long ago in ‘speaker format,’ which deserve to be approved. But, Speaker’s latest statement in wake of PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana’s announcement of expelling 9 MLAs from party highlights the helplessness of the ruling Congress party. Replying to a media question Speaker Manohar said ‘Everyone wants a stable government in the present circumstances.’

Approving the resignations is nothing short of challenging YSR Congress party. In such case, YSRCP will be forced to ask rest of its 7 loyalists to submit resignations and can bring down Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government at any given time. Hence, to keep the government afloat, Speaker has no other option but to sit on their resignations till time comes.

All this indicates that even YSR Congress party also doesn’t want to topple Kiran Kumar Reddy government right now, but which is demanding the TDP to serve no-confidence motion against the state government.
