Can Seemandhra Congress leaders float a political party

There are media reports about launching a new political party by Seemandhra Congress leaders. The idea of launching a political party has come up because there is no alternative platform for them. The Seemandhra Congress leaders, who couldn’t afford to put their political interests at stake are hinting that if the party ignores their appeals, then they may be forced to split with Congress and launch a political party.

Today, some Seemandhra Congress MPs have gone extreme in Lok Sabha over Samaikyandhra issue. These two developments may be an attempt to alert their high command. However, it would be very risky decision for them, as hardly there are 7 months left for the general elections. Unless some top leaders like CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, KVP Rama Chandra rao, Lagadapati Rajagopal or someone else of such caliber takes initiative, the idea may not materialize at all. There are speculations that Kiran Kumar Reddy, who have proved himself as capable leader may take charge of this proposed new political party.

But, the question is whether this proposal of launching new political party will ever materialize? Will Congress high command ever allows its leaders to split and float a political party? Even if it is launched, how long it can survive? What will be the proposed political party’s manifesto, if Telangana state is officially created soon?
