New train service between Shiridi and Tirupati to be launched today

The longstanding demand of devotees for a direct train service between Tirupati and Shiridi holy towns will be fulfilled from January 5th. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is formally launching these train services at Tirupati on Saturday. Initially, this train will run weekly once only and its frequency may be increased in future. The train with No: 17417 will start from Tirupati on every Tuesday at 7 am and reaches Sainath Nagar, Shiridi on the next day afternoon at 12.15 pm. Again Train No: 17418 will start from Sainath Nagar on every Wednesday at 7.10 pm and reaches Tirupati on Thursday at 11.45 pm.
