Modi gives pleasant surprise to Nawaz

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives a pleasant surprise to his counterpart of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif on the eve of his birth day today. First he called upon him from Afghanistan capital city Kabul and greeted him. Later, he posted two tweet messages one by one.

First he said “Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif & wished him on his birthday.” Then he posted another message saying “Looking forward to meeting PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today afternoon, where I will drop by on my way back to Delhi.”

His sudden visit to Pakistan may not suit the regular diplomacy norms but helps to build confidence in each other and strengthen the bonds between two countries. Soon after receiving the second tweet message, both India and Pakistan government officials have made necessary arrangements for his visit to Lahore immediately. Security has been beefed up in and around Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore in wake of Modi’s sudden visit. Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif will have a brief meeting at the latter’s office in Lahore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start for New Delhi after greeting Nawaz Sharif. After reaching Delhi, PM Modi will straight away go to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s home to greet him on his birth day.
