HYDERABAD: On Wednesday, Hyderabad High Court was told by the government of Andhra Pradesh that the state never intended to eliminate or rule-out any Indian company from taking part in the tender process of Amaravati’s construction, but instead emphasized on companies having global experience to invite companies that are more competent.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao was told by the Andhra Pradesh’s advocate general Dammalapti Srinivas that 2 or 3 firms can form a guild, with one of them being a foreign firm. The Advocate General, defending the tender standards that were dared by two real estate firms, also said that, that way even Indian firms could tie up and file a challenging bid under swiss challenge method under which a ‘master developer’ will be selected.
