The newly sworn in Maharashtra state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in his recent interview given to media said that he will reopen all the scam cases including Adarsh Housing scam that involves four former Chief Ministers of the state (including former Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde) nine top bureaucrats (including former Indian diplomat Devayani Khobragade) and several government officials. He said whoever found involved in it will be brought to book.
He said that he will also open the irrigation scam in which NCP leader Ajit Pawar is reportedly involved, even though NCP is supporting his government from outside. He said “My actions will speak louder than my words. Nothing will stop me, neither outside support nor abstention. I will do whatever I can do legally. My bosses will never restrain me from acting.”
Responding to another question, he said that he will review all the decisions taken by previous government in the recent past and if anything found wrong will stay it.
About bifurcation demand of Vidarbha from Maharashtra, he said “The way Congress splits the AP state is not appreciable. Our party thinks about creating smaller states only if its helpful to both state for socio-economic development. We can’t consider emotional issues as a strong reason for division of the state.”
