In a massive car bomb explosion that takes place near a hospital in Afghanistan capital Kabul on Saturday evening, 12 people were killed on the spot and more than 66 severely wounded. The bomb was placed in a car parked on the street and triggered with remote when a vehicle carrying foreigners was crossing it. The explosion was so severe that several vehicles parked in the vicinity were turned into pieces of metal scrap within minutes. Window glasses of the six storied hospital building near the explosion location were broken with the intensity of the blast.
British and US security forces rushed to the spot immediately. Medical teams have shifted the wounded to nearby hospital immediately. Some of the wounded persons’ condition is reportedly very critical. So far, no militant group claimed responsibility for the bomb blast. But, security forces suspect that it is Taliban’s work. They observed that Talibans are frequently making explosions in the country ever since the Afghan government has declared that Taliban leader Mullah Omar was died two years ago. They suspect that Taliban militants are trying to indicate their presence with the bomb blasts.
