Alang Blast in Gujarat- 5 feared dead

At least five persons have died and six others were  injured in an accident at the ship-breaking yard at Alang in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. The incident is said to have happened around 11 am when a blast took place as the ship breaking was in progress at plot number 140 inside the yard, according to the  Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB). The injured were rushed to hospitals near Bhavnagar and are being treated.

This has come just after the  incident in Andhra Pradesh where a  GAIL pipeline leaked and exploded in Nagaram in Andhra Pradesh leaving 16 dead and more than 30 people injured.
