Prataparudrudu, A Sequel To Rudramadevi?
on Aug 4, 2015
Not the first part has released, but director-producer Gunasekhar is mulling over the idea of delivering a sequel to his historical creation “Rudramadevi 3D”. After narrating the story of Kakatiya kingdom’s celebrated queen Rudrama Devi, our director wants to bring the story of her grandson, daughter’s son, Prataparudrudu to silver screen.
Grapevine has that Gunasekhar has already registered the titled “Prataparudrudu” with the tag line “The Last Emperor”. He seems to be busy with the story discussions for the film as a lot has to be collected from history and then weaved into an interesting plot and screenplay. Apparently Guna wants to make this film with a star hero and right now none is finalised except that he’s writing an interesting screenplay. Probably his experience in making Rudramadevi will help him deliver a better product with Prataparudrudu. It is heard that scenes related to this last emperor of South India will have their roots in Rudramadevi itself.
Did Gunasekhar has this idea or did he got it after watching Baahubali getting released in two parts? Whatever it maybe, hope Rudramadevi scores like Baahubali on September 4th.
