Telugu Audience In Waiting Mode
on Feb 22, 2018
While making a film is a big challenge of late, releasing it is a much bigger challenge for filmmakers. Heroes and directors look for good season to release their films. On the flip side, none dares to release their films during exam seasons. For most of educational boards, final examinations will take place in March. So, release percentage of films is less in the months of February and March.
Students start preparing for their final board exams from February mid. So, no star hero films will hit the screens during the period. Very few small to medium range films will grace the theaters with a hope of other than students to watch their movies.
Competition was huge for Sankranthi this year with stars like Pawan Kalyan and Balakrishna in the race. Unfortunately, both the films disappointed fans and normal movie goers. Later, Bhaagamathie, Chalo and Touch Chesi Chudu were released in January. While Anushka and Naga Shourya starrer movies ended as average grossers, Ravi Teja’s film became a disaster.
Except for Varun Tej’s Tholi Prema which is doing decent business in its second week, no other film including Sai Dharam Tej’s Inttelligent pleased audience.
Nikhil’s Kirrak Party will release worldwide on March 16th. Next attraction in March is Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam which will arrive to theaters on 30th. There is no notable film releasing in next three weeks.
Thus, Telugu spectators who have waited for long time for a full length entertainer are still in waiting mode!
