Student commits suicide in Narayana College

A first year inter student Srikanth of Narayana College in Nannuuoru in Kurnool district has committed suicide. He is from Ullindakunta village of the same district. The college management is arguing that he committed suicide outside the college, but the college students differ with its argument. They are arguing that the student has committed suicide in his hostel room located in the college campus. They allege that the college management is trying to escape from its responsibility by saying so. Hence, the raged college students are staging protests at the college main entrance demanding serious action against the college management. The reason for his suicide is not know yet.Police have seized his belongings from his room and investigating the case. They shifted his body to the government hospital in the city for postmortem.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has been assuring that such instances will not be repeated again. But, reports about students committing suicides are surfacing quite often during the last few months. Opposition parties allege that Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Narayana are trying to hush-up the cases as they both are relatives.
