The marriage between films and politics is one of long standing affairs in Tamil Nadu. This time it is between the families of Hero Vikram and M Karunanidhi. Akshita, the daughter of actor Vikram, and Manu Ranjith, the great-grandson of DMK chief M Karunanidhi will soon be tying the knot, which will be yet another of a film-political marriage. Manu Ranjith is the son of CK Ranganathan, who owns the CavinKare group and his mother is the daughter of Muthu, the first son of M. Karunanidhi.
Vikram, who is busy shooting for his latest film Iru Mugan will be taking a quick break to attend the engagement of his daughter Akshitha. The event is set to take place on July 10 in a private function at a star hotel in Chennai. Reportedly only close family members and friends will be attending the engagement function. The wedding will be taking place in 2017 and Vikram is planning to invite all his industry friends for the grand wedding.
