Can late YSR breathe life into YSRCP in Telangana?

Ever since YSR Congress party announces that it will be contesting in Warangal by elections, its rival parties and even people of the state are asking why…which is an unusual question for any political party. The reason for their doubt is its unusual behavior in the state. It is not any big secret that it has good terms with the ruling TRS party and do not want any friction with it. So, it remains mum on many serious issues while all other parties in the state are indulged in a serious battle with the TRS government.
Any political party can’t expect the people to vote for it when it remained silent spectator of their problems. YSR Congress leaders of the state are also may be well aware about it. But, they seem to be relying upon late YSR Rajashekhar Reddy goodwill. Then also they may know that the deceased can’t breathe life into them in the prevailing political situation in the state. Yet, they are gearing for Warangal by elections, probably not to win but to split the votes of TDP, BJP, Congress and Left parties thus to help the ruling TRS party indirectly.
YSR Congress party leaders of the Telangana state held a meeting at Hanmakonda on Sunday, where they sung chorus about reviving late Rajashekhar Reddy’s regime. They all vow to strive hard for their candidate’s victory but none of them know who their candidate is. State party president Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said “Jagan Mohan Reddy will announce name of our party candidate and he will file nomination on November 4th.” Although, he is not sure about party candidate’s name, he is very sure about the date because it is the last date for filing nominations.
