Are BJP leaders also opposing Pattiseema?

The BJP leaders of the AP state, particularly from Rayalaseema have been opposing the Pattiseema project launched by the AP government. They even visited the project site in the west Godavari district a day before their party state level executives meeting held at Vizag on Sunday. AP State BJP vice-president P Kapileshwaraiah, who led the team of BJP leaders, later speaking to the media said the state government should revoke its decision of constructing Pattiseema project and spend that Rs. 1, 500 crore on the Polavaram project. BJP leader Purandeswari and many others of the party are also opposing the project. However, they didn’t get clearance from their party high command to fire shots at their alliance partner TDP.

Few weeks ago, YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy has complained to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley about this Pattiseema project, but he didn’t get any positive response from them. Later, the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also met the Prime Minister, but then also he was not asked any explanation about the project. Hence, the BJP leaders would have understood that their high command is averse to create any obstructions to this particular project. But, they still are objecting the Pattiseema project.

If, they are opposing the project, they can straight away convey their opinion to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and pressurize him to drop the project. If, they are not willing to talk to him, then they could approach their party high command and can try to convince it with their arguments on this project, instead of beating the bush that is harming relations between the two parties.
