Girls’ presence in the library is distraction?

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) vice-chancellor Zameer Uddin Shah, who believes that girls presence in the library is a distraction, has turned down their plea to have access into college library. He is reported to be said there will be ‘more boys’ if girls are there. His decision not only makes the students fume, but also the Union Minister for Human Resources Smrithi Irani.
She condemned his decision and described it as an insult to daughters. She demands him an explanation for his decision. She also hints to take appropriate action, if he is found wrong. However, AMU officials have denied her charges. They argue that limited number of students only can be allowed into the library due to due to ‘space constraint.’
Since, the matter is related to Muslim University and the Minister belongs to BJP lead NDA government, there are chances for this case to take new unexpected twists on the religion lines.
