No JN Effect On Manyam Puli

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal made his comeback to Telugu cinema with Chandrasekhar Yeleti directed Manamantha which was a critically acclaimed but commercially failure film. The actor was then seen in young tiger Jr NTR’s Janatha Garage which was a runaway hit. Apart from these two films, Mohanlal did act in two other films this year.

While Oppam was a super hit and the film Telugu remake rights were sold for good price, the other film Pulimaragan is dubbed into Telugu and will be released here as Manyam Puli on December 2nd.

While the Telugu producers have many positive things in store to promote their film and generate buzz, they apparently aren’t worried about box office performance. Manyam Puli is releasing after the blockbuster success of Janatha Garage.

Mohanlal was praised for his performance and in fact the senior actor dominated NTR in first half of the Koratala Siva directed movie. If the producers of Manyam Puli have promoted the film using Janatha Garage tag, there would be at least be some curiosity has been raised on the project.

Manyam Puli also has well-known actors such as Jagapathi Babu and Kamalini Mukherjee. Let’s wait and see how this film performs at BO, despite low key promotions.
