Updated : Jun 30, 2026

With Rao Bahadur gearing up for its grand theatrical release the makers have unveiled a unique "More Than a Teaser" video, featuring Superstar Mahesh Babu as the narrator. Rather than offering a conventional teaser, the video introduces audiences to the film's psychological world and its unusual central character.

Mahesh describes Rao Bahadur as a film "where drama meets magic," setting the tone for what appears to be an imaginative psychological drama. His voice-over reveals that the story follows a man who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and is expected to die, but continues to live. As fear, self-doubt and an inferiority complex consume him, he creates a world of his own, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

The new footage also showcases Satyadev in multiple looks, hinting at the different emotional and psychological stages of his character. The actor's transformation and performance stand out as one of the biggest highlights of the promotional video, while director Venkatesh Maha's distinctive visual storytelling continues to fuel curiosity around the project.

Mahesh Babu, who is presenting the film through GMB Entertainments, had earlier described Rao Bahadur as a "never-seen-before" cinematic experience from Telugu cinema. Filmmaker Sukumar has also spoken highly of the film, further adding to the anticipation.

Directed by Venkatesh Maha and produced by Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra Ankaraju and Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Rao Bahadur will release worldwide on July 3. With its unconventional premise and psychological themes, the film is positioning itself as one of the most intriguing Telugu releases of the year.
