Updated : Jun 30, 2026

Raju Weds Rambai actor Akhil Raj has landed in controversy after a video of his heated altercation with a food delivery executive went viral on social media. The incident, reportedly triggered by the delivery of a wrong food order, has sparked widespread criticism, with many questioning the actor's behaviour towards the delivery partner.

Amid the growing debate, senior actor V. K. Naresh shared a heartfelt message, urging people to treat food delivery workers with empathy and respect. Without naming Akhil Raj, Naresh said attacks on delivery partners are becoming increasingly common and receive attention only when celebrities are involved, while several similar incidents go unnoticed.

He acknowledged that delayed or incorrect deliveries can be frustrating, but reminded customers that delivery executives brave traffic, heavy rain, scorching heat and the constant risk of accidents every day just to earn an honest living. "Let's choose empathy over anger. A few extra minutes are never worth someone's dignity or safety," Naresh wrote.

The senior actor also appealed to Swiggy and Zomato to strengthen measures that protect and support their frontline workers. Concluding his message, Naresh wrote, "Respect is free. Humanity is priceless." Naresh's comments have struck a chord with many on social media, shifting the conversation beyond one viral incident to the everyday challenges faced by thousands of delivery partners across the country.
