Tahiri Biryani
Ingredients:
300gm rice
300gm potatoes
1 onion
150gm tomatoes
2 tbsp whole garam masala (sabud khada masala)
2 tbsp turmeric
50gm green chilies
salt to taste
20gm ginger
2 tbsp oil
250gm chicken stock
Directions:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. And finely chop the onion and tomato, chillies and ginger. Heat oil and fry onion till brown. To it add turmeric, salt, tomatoes, green chillies, ginger and potatoes and cook well. Now add chicken stock and 350g water and bring the boil. Then add rice and cook on high flame. When water evaporates then simmer on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve it hot with raita and salad.
