Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC) hosted one of the best entertainment Star Night and Musical concert in Redondo Beach, CA on July 6th, 2012. This event was witnessed and enjoyed by over 1600 people from all over Southern California. This has seen a largest gathering of local telugu people ever in over 40 years of TASC history.
Chief Guest and Great Grand Sponsor of the event Dr. Prem Sagar Reddy and Pati Damodhar Reddy&Smt. Soumitri inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional Lamp. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. PremSagar Reddy recalled his love for Telugu language and Culture, his long time association with TASC and felt very happy to see many of Telugu people at this event.
The musical extravaganza with 4hours non-stop entertainment started at 7:30pm and audience were mesmerized by Mani Sharma Group’s Live Musical Concert and Speechless performance by 6 year old musical prodigy proclaimed as “Golden Voice of Andhra Pradesh” Pravasthi. Everyone seemed to have a great time as they were all in a different world enjoying the super hit songs in the auditorium with special laser lighting. The auditorium resounded with endless excitement and applause. The mimicry by Jithendra Nath well engaged the audience.
Food was one the major highlight of event, the guests were served authentic and delicious and hot Telugu food by DosaPlace Restaurant and brought back memories of the native land. Kids seemed happy as well enjoying the Popcorn and Cotton candies made fresh at the event. People appreciated TASC for providing fruits and water all through out the evening.
While speaking on this occasion, Mr. Vijay Bhaskar Nekkanti, President of TASC, appreciated and heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Prem Reddy, all other Donors and sponsors for their support. He described about various activities TASC conducted so far in year 2012 like eight weeks free training program in IT/software Quality Assurance, and conducted Education Counseling for College bound students and about how TASC supported a free Medical Camp in the city of Cerritos.
Mr. Nekkanti described the event as one of rarest occasion in history of TASC, tsunami of Telugu people showed up when the Auditorium was filled to capacity in less than an hour of opening the doors. He expressed sincere regret to friends and families who could not be admitted to witness the grand show as the Auditorium was filled to its capacity.
He thanked NATA, NATS and Tri-Valley associations for extending their help for this event. He also thanked media coverage by LATelugu.com, TV5 channel and help extended by ToRI, Radio Kushi, e-Pilupu, ABN and Sulekha.
