TRS emerges to be the leader

TRS has stormed the Greater Hyderabad elections by winning 99 seats out of 150. Though the victory of TRS in the elections was thought to be inevitable, the figures that came out has stunned even the ruling party. Now with more than half of the seats, TRS can certainly capture the Mayor seat without any need for support from its allies or enemies. MIM has kept its hold in the old city by claiming 44 seats and thereby has emerged to be the second largest party. The results have of course disappointed the rest! With 99 seats for TRS and 44 seats for MIM… there weren’t much seats left for the other parties. BJP has got 4 seats and congress gathered 2 with TDP winning just 1 ward. The vigorous campaigning by KTR seems to have worked in the elections. Voters too might have felt that they would be gain much if they choose the ruling TRS. And the result shows it all!
