Telugu Desam Party supremo Chandrababu Naidu is touring in West Godawari district currently. On the 1st day of his tour today, he participated in a meeting of Polavaram project displaced persons at Thadepalligudem.
Speaking at the meeting, TDP president said that relief and rehabilitation package of Polavaram displaced persons was as important as the Polavaram project itself. He said that congress MPs were spineless as they had failed to get the national status to the Polavaram project. Contending that an inefficient government was ruling the state, Sri Naidu said that the tribals were deprived of basic amenities like drinking water and roads besides electricity to their homes.
The TDP supremo said that good days were ahead for all in the state and declared that the TDP would take full responsibility for procuring national status for Polavaram and the Chevella-Pranahita project.
