AP Municipal Minister Narayana’s statement seems to be inviting fresh troubles for his government. Around 200 farmers of Thullur mandal filed a petition in the high court few days ago, stating that they are not willing to handover their lands to the state government for capital city construction. The court asked the government not to force them to give their lands or create any obstructions to their cultivation works in their lands. Hence, the minister appeals them to reconsider their decision otherwise they will be heavily lost if the state government take their lands using land acquisition act. He said this would be last chance for them to avail all the benefits of land pooling system, otherwise government has to use land acquisition act to take their lands. He appealed the 200 farmers to reconsider their decision and cooperate with the government in constructing the world class capital city for the state.
He said some people are trying to create obstructions but the government will lay foundation stone for the capital city in the first week of June. He said the government is determined to complete the first phase of the capital city before next elections.
Hence, minister Narayana’s statement is just like an invitation to Pawan Kalyan to jump into action, who owes to fight with the government, if it tries to take the farmers’ lands using land acquisition act. Congress, YSR Congress and Left parties also assured the farmers to fight one their behalf with the government. So, it would be an acid test to the AP government to face and overcome all these challenges. If, it could overcome these last hurdles, then it may not face any major issues or challenges in capital city construction as the Modi government is assuring its full support to it.
