K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), who is spearheading the telangana agitation, wants to bring out his 'Namaste Telangana' newspaper immediately. For this he has virtually set aside the third phase of Telangana movement to focus on launch of this Telugu news daily. In view of marathon meetings with the staff and administration of the newspaper since fortnight, KCR could not conduct any meeting with the party leaders to discuss about the next phase of Telangana movement, it is said.
According to sources, KCR was visiting the head office of the newspaper located at Banajara Hills and meeting the staff regularly. He kept himself busy holding meetings with the newspaper staff and inquiring about the developments taking place with regard to logistic support and infrastructure facilities provided for the newspaper. Namaste Telangana would be simultaneously published from six places, Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Medak.
Sources say that KCR wants to kick-start the T movement only after the daily has been launched as that would help him better in not only getting publicity but also in building the tempo and ensuring popularity for the newspaper. Due to his preoccupation with the newspaper launch arrangements, he had even decided to postpone the JAC meetings to finalise the action plan for T movement.
