Chiranjeevi lunch meeting with PRP MLAs

After PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana confirmed defection of 25-30 Congress MLAs to other parties very soon, Congress high command appears to be pressed the panic button and in no time one of its rescue team members in the state-Chiranjeevi has jumped into action. Today he has arranged a lunch meeting for his former PRP and present Congress MLAs at Hyderabad.

Although, he asserts that he is opposing bifurcation of the state and even sacrificed his Union Minister post for it, he asked his MLAs to respect and obey the high command’s decision of bifurcation. He told them it is time for all of them to stand by Congress party and ensure its victory in the upcoming elections. But, instead of listening to him, they have educated him about their and party position in the region in bifurcation context. Many of them, who are planning to jump into TDP or YSRCP have made it clear that continuing in Congress party is politically suicidal for them. However, they have agreed to take an appropriate decision at an appropriate time in near future. Probably, by the time Chiranjeevi plans next lunch meeting, many of them may find themselves in rival parties.

Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao and four MLAs from Vizag are just waiting for a signal from TDP. Trimurtulu and Vanga Geeta are also said to be in touch with TDP. So, instead of asking them to cling to Congress party, better Chiranjeevi would have enquired them about which party would be safe for him and who will offer him a party ticket?
