We won’t mind if Salman acquitted: Victims

 

The victims of Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s hit and run case reacts differently on Bombay High Court verdict that acquits the actor. The five victims of this case are daily wage laborers and one of them killed on the spot when Salman Khan drives his car over him while they were sleeping on a foot path. Remaining four escaped with serious injuries.

 

The family of deceased Nurullah Sharif’s wife and son and his family members are currently living at Malwani. Police says that they were paid Rs. 10 lakh as compensation following orders from the lower court. But, victim’s widow Farida Begum and their son Feroz says that didn’t get any money till now as they are unable to produce certain documents to the court. Reacting on the court verdict, “We don’t mind if he is acquitted, but we urge him to bail us out of our miseries the way the court acquits him from the case. If he could help us financially we will be grateful to him,” said Feroz.

 

Mohammad Kalim Iqbal Pathan and Muslim Niyamat Shaikh, who were injured in this accident returned to their native villages in Uttar Pradesh. They were given Rs. 3 lakh each but said more than half the amount spent for treatment and balance amount goes for roaming around police stations, courts and legal expenses. The lengthy trial of the case has made their lives miserable as often they have to attend the police station and court. They left Mumbai as they are unable to cope up with the unpredicted developments taking place after the accident. They both are leading miserable lives in their villages. They also urge the actor for some monitory help.

 

Mannu Khan and Mohammad Abdulla Sheikh both are still working as laborers in small bakeries in Mumbai. They are also leading miserable lives and expecting some help from Bollywood super star Salman Khan. Earlier, Salman Khan appealed the lower court to consider waving off his punishment keeping in view of his social services. Hence, if he could extend his help to his victims first, people who are disagreeing with the court verdict may ignore it.
