MLC Elections Schedule announced

Elections schedule for 4 MLC seats in Andhra Pradesh 6 seats in Telangana states was announced on Thursday. Notification will be issued on May 14th. Last date for filing nominations-May 21; Scrutinizing nominations-May 22; Last date for withdrawal of nominations-May 25; Polling will be held on June 1st from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will begin on the same day at 5 pm and results will be declared immediately.

Thummala Nageswara Rao, Kadiyam Sri Hari and Talasani Srinivas Yadav who becomes Ministers in the TRS government need to be elected to either Assembly or the Legislative Council within six months. So, they are likely to contest in these elections. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has submitted his resignation letter to his MLA Post that he got through the TDP, but never insisted for its approval by the Speaker. But, it may be approved now as he got this chance to contest to the Legislative Council. However, he is saying that he would like to contest to Assembly only from his Sanath Nagar constitution in the bye-elections that comes with his resignation approval.
