Youth commits suicide attempt for Special status

Congress party of Andhra Pradesh state has conducted a huge public meeting at Tirupati on Saturday as a part of its fight for special status for the state. During this meeting, a youngster named Koti has tried to commit suicide by setting fire to self. He poured Kerosene oil on his body and set fire to self, while former union minister Killi Kruparani was speaking on the stage. People around him, douse the fire immediately but he was badly burnt in this incident. He was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment immediately. According to doctors attending him, his condition is critical and can’t say anything until three days. This is first suicide attempt case registered for this cause.

PCC President Raghuveera Reddy said it is very unfortunate incident. He appeals the people, especially the youth not to do such things as life is more precious than anything else. He expressed confidence of achieving special status with their continuous fight for it. Koti is a member of Congress party and is also a member in Gangamma Jatara Committee in Tirupati.
